Student & Parent Policies

This Student & Parent Policy sets out the standards, responsibilities, and procedures that all students and parents must follow when enrolled with Achievers. It ensures fairness in scheduling and payments, maintains a high-quality learning environment, and protects both students and tutors. By enrolling at Achievers, students and parents agree to abide by the following terms.

Student & Parent Policies

3–5 daysHKD 100 per lesson day
2 days or lessN.A. (Lesson forfeited)
*Exclusive of lesson day. Rescheduling must be confirmed with Achievers.
  • The time, date, and teacher of the rescheduled lesson will be assigned by Achievers (we will allocate an appropriate tutor of the same subject specialisation, subject to availability).
  • Rescheduled lessons must be confirmed on the same day the request is made.
  • Rescheduled lessons must take place within the same month as the original booking.
  • Only students officially enrolled at Achievers and registered for the specific class may attend lessons. Unregistered students, friends, or family members may not join without pre-approved permission.
  • Lessons booked at Achievers are personal and non-transferable. Students may not switch or transfer lessons to others.
  • Achievers programmes (both group courses and private lessons) are designed as progressive study modules. Lessons are not offered in a single-class. Students are expected to enrol in all lessons for the month or module.
  • Regular timeslots can only be reserved if a student books at least three classes in the same month with the same tutor and timeslot. During boarding/holiday periods, adjustments may be made based on overall scheduling needs.
  • For private group lessons: if one or more students withdraw, the remaining student(s) will continue as a private lesson, and the price will be adjusted accordingly.
  • A minimum of 2 students is required for a group class to commence. Achievers reserves the right to cancel or reassign lessons in the event of insufficient enrolment.
  • Lessons are enrolled on a monthly basis. Students must pay for all classes scheduled for that month.
  • Payment deadlines are stated at the time of booking. Payment must be settled before the start of the lessons.
  • Achievers does not provide refunds if a student cancels or withdraws from booked lessons. However, unused lesson credit may be applied to alternative lessons within the same calendar month.
  • Achievers reserves the right to discontinue a student’s enrolment due to late payment or disruptive behaviour.
  • In cases where refunds are granted (at Achievers’ discretion), an administration fee of 5% may be deducted to cover banking and processing costs.
  • Achievers does not offer make-up classes or refunds for absences due to school activities, field trips, or schedule conflicts.
  • In the case of sickness, a doctor’s note must be provided and the make-up lesson rescheduled within 7 calendar days of the original lesson.
  • Parents/students must inform Achievers of any absence at least 3 hours before the scheduled lesson via phone or email.
  • Achievers is not liable for lesson disruptions caused by internet service outages, defective third-party software, or student-side hardware issues in online lessons.
  • Students must respect tutors, staff, and classmates at all times. Disruptive or inappropriate behaviour may result in suspension of lessons.
  • Lesson recording (audio, video, or screen capture) is strictly prohibited unless authorised by Achievers.
  • Electronic devices (phones, tablets, laptops) may only be used for academic or urgent purposes during lessons. Misuse may result in the tutor pausing the class and reporting to parents.
  • Assignments given by tutors are an integral part of learning. Students are expected to complete all homework and assigned readings. Parents are responsible for ensuring this is done.
  • Students are expected to maintain academic honesty. Plagiarism or the unauthorised use of AI tools for schoolwork is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action.
  • If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted 5 hours or less before the lesson: the class will be cancelled or rescheduled.
  • If the signal is lowered 5 hours or more before the lesson: the class will proceed as scheduled.
  • For 1-on-1 lessons, students may request to switch to online lessons (subject to tutor availability).
  • If a signal is raised during an ongoing class, the lesson will continue until completion if safe. Parents may contact us for special arrangements.
  • For group lessons: a make-up class or suitable alternative arrangement may be provided.
  • In cases of government-announced “extreme conditions,” lessons may be rescheduled or moved online.
  • CCTV cameras operate within Achievers premises (customer service areas, classrooms, study areas, and corridors) for safety and quality purposes.
  • Achievers is not liable for personal injuries, accidents, or property loss on our premises.
  • Lesson observation and recordings may occasionally be conducted for quality assurance.
  • Photographs or videos may occasionally be taken during lessons for educational or promotional purposes. Achievers reserves all rights to such media.
  • Students are supervised only during lesson times. Parents/guardians remain responsible for students before entry and after exit from our centres.
  • All lesson materials provided by Achievers (worksheets, notes, slides, textbook extracts, etc.) are the intellectual property of the centre. These materials must not be copied, shared, scanned, or distributed without written consent.
  • Students’ outstanding work may, with permission, be used as reference material for educational or promotional purposes.
  • Students, parents, or guardians must not approach Achievers tutors for private arrangements outside of the centre. All scheduling, payments, and communications must be handled through Achievers’ admin team.
  • Tutors’ personal contact details will not be provided and should not be exchanged.
  • Former tutors may not continue to provide lessons to Achievers students privately within 12 months of leaving the centre.
  • Once a student has enrolled and chosen a specific Achievers branch for their lessons, the location is fixed and cannot be switched to another branch during the enrollment period.
  • This policy ensures stability in scheduling, tutor allocation, and lesson planning.
  • Requests to change branch locations will only be considered in exceptional circumstances and are subject to approval by the centre’s management.
