GCE A-Level
英國高考（GCE A-Level）是英國傳統高中課程，為期兩年，等同香港舊制的高級會考（中六、中七）。
一般來說，學生會選讀3-4門科目修讀，A-Level 課程側重於對學術知識的了解及應用。
If students study in secondary schools in Hong Kong, depending on the school’s arrangement, some or all subjects will adopt the International AL / IAL. The recognition of IAL and GCE A-level in further studies is exactly the same, but there are differences in the scope of examination and question types. IAL and GCE A-level will also have different exam boards, and the relevant scope will be slightly different.
部份考試局，例如 Edexcel IAL, WJEC GCE A level，採取 Modular 學制，意思是在十二年級（A level 課程首年）已需要應考 AS level，即整個課程大約首一半的課程，並佔據整個 A level 的一定分數。換句話說，應考 Modular A level 學生，提早一年便需要應對公開試的壓力。
此外，由於 A level 的課程較香港 DSE 簡單直接，內容亦有不少重複之處，故此，近年亦吸引了不少 DSE 尖子在中四/中五開始提早同時自修 A level（一般為 Edexcel IAL），以增強自己的大學升學競爭力。
